Oliver Stevenson – Landscaping Director
With 10 years of experience in construction, I specialize in project management and landscape design, using my degree in architectural technology. I hold a CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification and various other certifications, including business and media A-levels, scaffold appreciation, and GDPR.
I have hands-on experience building and renovating homes, from project managing full builds to operating the digger on landscaping projects. At Refresh, I manage business operations, oversee projects, ensure safety, create landscape designs, write quotes, handle invoicing, accounts, stock, and marketing.
I’m passionate about carpentry, particularly complex projects like curved decks and sleeper walls, and I enjoy the challenge of designing precise plans. Outside of work, I’m an avid woodworker, snowboarder, and camper van enthusiast, always planning my next adventure.
Archie Davison – Garden Maintenance Director
As Garden Maintenance Director at Refresh, I oversee the day-to-day management of our gardening projects and ensure everything runs smoothly.
I hold CS30 and CS31 qualifications, which allow me to safely fell trees. Growing up on an arable farm in Cambridgeshire gave me hands-on experience in estate management, including building fences, operating large machinery, and tree felling. My specialties include horticulture, soft landscaping, tree surgery, lawn care, and tool maintenance.
At Refresh, I ensure that our projects are going ahead seamlessly by making sure the team has the right materials and tools, while also keeping morale high (I’m known for a good dad joke or two). I particularly enjoy a day on the chainsaw, the satisfaction of freshly mowed grass, and building fences. Outside of work, I stay active by spending time in the gym, hiking, camping, and socialising with friends.

Michael Back – Landscaping Foreman
I’m a qualified bricklayer and plasterer with 20 years of experience in the building and landscaping industry. At Refresh, I specialise in laying patios, constructing walls, setting out jobs, and ensuring the quality of our work is always top-notch.
On a day-to-day basis, I manage various landscaping projects, ensuring we stay on track to meet deadlines and deliver the highest quality results for our clients. I particularly enjoy working on detailed garden transformations where every element needs to come together perfectly. It’s the attention to detail and creativity in these projects that really excites me.
Outside of work, I stay active by working out in the gym, training in boxing, and indulging in good food.
Benjamin Hegan – Community Projects & Garden Maintenance Manager
I’ve been passionate about gardening my whole life and I am planning to study for RHS qualifications in gardening, horticulture, and sustainable garden design. Specialising in horticulture, particularly pruning and plant maintenance, I also have a background in teaching, which supports my work with community projects, especially with children.
At Refresh, I focus on maintaining our regular customers’ gardens and preparing them for the changing seasons. I also organise volunteering efforts with local charities and schools and run a gardening club. I find great satisfaction in pruning roses (and weeding), and enjoy seeing how our work helps nature thrive.
Outside of work, I love reading about foraging and reconnecting with nature, however I’m a proud father to a baby girl- so not a lot of that reading gets done!

Max Cowling – General Labourer
I have just over a year of experience in landscaping, with a focus on laying patios and turf. At Refresh, I specialise in garden landscaping and turfing, ensuring every project is executed with care and precision.
On a day-to-day basis, I assist in preparing materials and getting everything ready for the team, making sure we stay on track. My favourite types of jobs are patio work and turfing, as I enjoy seeing the transformation of outdoor spaces.
Outside of work, I love fishing—it’s a great way for me to unwind and enjoy some quiet time.
Tia Jarman – Social Media Manager
I have a background in administration and previously managed social media for a well-established riding school. At Refresh Gardens, I handle social media management, transforming content from our team into fun and engaging posts that showcase our work.
I particularly enjoy turning on-site footage into reels, videos, and posts that really capture the essence of what we do. It’s a lot of fun to see the ‘behind-the-scenes’ of what goes into a garden or landscaping project.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about horse riding and generally spending time with horses. I’m a huge animal lover and also have two cats!

Jess Mival – Marketing Manager
I work for Refresh as their Marketing Manager, taking control of website design, written content and further communications. I have a degree in Creative Writing, specialising in fiction and non-fiction pieces.
During University I also did freelance marketing work, covering everything from social media copy to press releases. Freelancing meant that I got the opportunity to work with clothing brands, marketing agencies, publishers, and dental companies!
I love writing up articles and newsletters for Refresh; hearing all the exciting work everyone has been up to and sharing it around is a big passion of mine. Outside of work, I am looking after my daughter and reading- when I get the chance!
